How It All Started?

Hey there, I’m Aryan - a B.Tech student from a not-so-cool college, with some pretty big dreams and an unreasonable amount of belief that I’ll somehow make them happen.

And weirdly enough, it all started with my dad’s office laptop.

I was probably 5 or 6 when I saw a laptop for the first time. Back then, I obviously had no idea what coding was, how computers worked, or that one day I’d spend hours staring at a terminal wondering why something that worked perfectly 10 minutes ago had suddenly decided to die.

I just knew one thing -

this machine was cool as hell.

That laptop woke up a curious little kid inside me who wanted to click everything, open everything, understand everything and, occasionally, break everything 💀.

And somehow, that kid is still very much alive today.

I’ve always loved machines. There’s something insanely satisfying about understanding how things work - and honestly, cracking them open and figuring them out is even more fun. LMAO.

Funny thing is, though, software wasn’t always the plan.

For the longest time, I wanted to become an Air Force pilot. Flying fighter jets sounded like the coolest possible job a human could have.

Then my eyesight basically said:
yeah bro, not happening.

So that dream had to go.

Next plan? Mechanical engineering.

Because even though I loved computers, my relationship with them was mostly:

Computer = Games.

Playing them? Hell yeah.

Making them? Never even crossed my mind.

And this is probably the part of my story I’m most grateful for.

I happened to meet the right people at the right time.

People who saw something in me that, at that point, I probably couldn’t see myself. People who pushed me towards software, told me where to focus, corrected me when I was going in the wrong direction and, most importantly, gave me guidance when I actually needed it.

So I started exploring.
Then coding.
Then building things.
Then breaking those things.
Then fixing them.
Then breaking them again because apparently that’s just software development 😭.

And somewhere in between all of that, I realized damn, I actually love doing this.

The kid who once looked at his dad’s office laptop wondering what this magical machine could do is now building software on one.

That’s kinda crazy when I think about it.

I’m nowhere near where I want to be yet.

There are still a ridiculous number of things I want to learn, build and achieve. Bigger projects, bigger opportunities, bigger failures, bigger wins all of it.

But looking back, one thing I’ve realized is that your life can change massively because of a few people, a little curiosity and the right guidance at the right moment.

So yeah…

Grateful to God for putting the right people in my life.
Grateful for the opportunities I’ve gotten.
Grateful for the people who believed in me.

And definitely grateful for that random office laptop my dad brought home all those years ago.

Because apparently, that thing started way more than anyone realized.
Still learning. Still building. Still breaking things.
And honestly?
We’re just getting started.
